1. PHOTO ESSAY NOTES FROM MR S....
The idea behind this assignment was to give you a chance to show your "creativity", show some of your PHOTOSHOP and basic PHOTOGRAPHY skills you have learned, and give you a chance to follow an assignment from start to finish...
To those of you who worked hard, and honestly did your best,
I wish to thank you because your effort will be noticed and rewarded.. :)
To the number of you who did not make any effort, or made a quick project on the last day for a quick grade,
Please realize that I DO CHECK EVERYTHING, and I can tell whether you put real effort or not...see below..

>>>PHOTO ESSAY>>> 1. Tell a story or teach me something through a series of pictures....The story is key...
The pictures you choose to use should be "good pics" and should have been "cropped, color corrected, and "adjusted" in Photoshop...Then the pictures were to be assembled into "KEYNOTE" into a series of slides....The slides should be arranged in the order in which you want to tell your story...On each slide (mostly) there should be a picture that you have taken, and photoshopped and it should be the "focal point or main interest point" of that slide..
There should be a caption you add either onto each slide in `"Keynote" or onto your picture you took and Photoshopped..
The caption should contain good spelling, grammar, and punctuation......

1. Turn in Photo Essay ---on Hard Drive and via Website- SUBMIT YOUR WORK

2. Get study guide handouts (paper) for exam day from Mr S.

3. Download study guide documents to your computer and mobile device for studying while at home

This PS quiz will be on line and will be a 25 question multiple choice exam

The Photography Quiz will be on-line and will be open answer and essay questions

1. Task 1---Download & TAKE Notes on Photo Composition
(this may help to get you to think better as you create your PHOTO ESSAY)
2. TASK 2-- WORK HARD on Photo Essay
It is due on FRIDAY--(no exceptions) 50 points
(see previous post for Assignment details)

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR FINALS DAY-
1. There will be a paper/computer test/exam on Finals Day...this will cover:
a. PHOTOGRAPHY ESSENTIALS- aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, rule of thirds,
SEE presentations to right...
b. PHOTOSHOP TERMINOLOGY/TOOLS..
Overview of all photoshop tools we have used..
plus what are layers, adjustment layers, filters, blending modes, selection tools, and more

Photography and Photoshop Tasks for 12/04/14

Thanks to the FEW people that figured out yesterday that there was an assignment on our website, and actually did the assignment and sent info to me...You will be kindly rewarded today...EVERYBODY else--FOLLOW the tasks below...

TASK 1-is to read the PHOTO ESSAY ASSIGNMENT Doc
Decide on your topic, and then fill out the form on the right with your name and your topic decision

TASK 2- is to download the pic to the right (or if can use the same photo where you made your rainbow last class)

Task 3- is to download the tutorial file on the right-
"ADDING SUN RAYS TO A PHOTO"
And then follow the steps as best you can -it is a very quick tutorial

Task 4- Send me your tutorial file RAYS OF LIGHT with your name on it via the
SUBMIT YOUR WORK LINK today for a grade
YOUR participation grade today depends on you sending me both items (Submitting your topic, and making the sun rays photo) for 20 points
