Create a Personal Photo Collage---
Subjects/Themes Suggested-Family-Ohana-Personal Passions-
Size 11 inches wide x 8.5 inches tall at 200 pixels per inch
Must include at least 10 of your own pictures
No internet pictures that you did not take...not acceptable
Due Friday at end of class--
Do a FILE>SAVE for WEB and save as .jpeg at 100 %
Then submit to me using this link by the end of class

1. Create a PHOTO COLLAGE (20 pics or more) about a theme
Themes can be Family, Ohana, Things You Like
Start TODAY---Due On Friday-----
THINK--What is your theme?
THINK- How will I get Images?
WORK- photoshop stuff

Directions-
a. Open Photoshop.
b. Go to FILE>NEW....and make a new document 8.5 inches tall by 11 inches at 300 Pixels per Inch
c. Name it YOURNAMECOLLAGE.psd
d. Began assembling and cutting your images out in Photoshop to copy and paste into your new document...
e. Use the Quick Selection , Magic Wand, the Refine Edge command, and any other marquee or lasso tools to make selections in Photoshop.....
f. You will need a minimum of 10 images to complete this job, and most people use 20 or more on this project....YOU CAN NOT USE INTERNET IMAGES....you must take your own pics--phone or school camera..or bring in old family pics.......
g. DUE ON FRIDAY...submitted on website as a .jpg....using the FILE>SAVE FOR WEB command

Cut our Mr Shelor and put him in the 2nd picture.....Wheel Of Fortune Set--
Use your Green Screen pic and put yourself in the TV set pic.Use adjustment layers...use the CROP tool-- Use the QUICK SELECTION tool, and the REFINE EDGE command to make Mr S look good

2. Go on the web and do a search for FAMILY PHOTO COLLAGE...and look up images..

When PAU with making VEGGIEMAN 1 Or VEGGIEPERSON 2, save your work as yourname.psd
3. Also do a SAVE FOR WEB option for your VEGGIE GUYS, and save as .jpg at 100%
4. Go submit your work to me via clicking this web link Be sure it is in .jpg format
5. Add your veggieman 1 and veggie person 2 files to your website under the PROJECTS or MY WORK section..Write a 0ne paragraph summary of what the projects was, what you did, and what you learned

>>When done-Save VEGGIEMAN as (yourname.jpg)....
>>Go to your website--and post your veggieman on your projects page with a 1 paragraph reflection explaining what you used in Photoshop to create the VeggieMan and what you learned while creating VeggieMan.

2. Now Create Your Own Veggieman 2 and use your own creativity....
a. You can use any of the vegetables or fruits provided from the web gallery.....

1. Download the VEGGIEMAN start file>>>>> (to da right)
2. Open Photoshop and then open the file you just downloaded-VEGGIEMAN start
3. Go to FILE>New- --> and make a new document -Size= 800 pixels tall x 600 pixels wide
4, Get the tutorial handout or follow Mr Shelor on the tutorial

A. Warm Up--Download Warm up file (on da right side)--->>>
Do the following to the pic:
1. Open In photoshop----2. Crop using Rule Of Thirds
3. Make a new ADJUSTMENT Layer-LEVELS and adjust the lighting on all 3 areas- highlights-shadows, and midtones.
4. Make a New ADJUSTMENT layer- VIBRANCE- and adjust the sliders there-
5. Make a new text layer- and type your name and period number in 24 point type-
Helvetica Typeface ..6. FILE-SAVE FOR WEB-save as .jpg at 80%
7. Put saved file in your MY WORK folder on your desktop

B. Finish Article Summary...(Photoshop Ethics) from previous class/post on Tuesday, 09/16-------Article assignment due today before end of class

C. Download Butterfly-Daisy Pic (to da right)
Be ready to create and do PS tutorial on Layers and Layer Masks.
