 Unit 1 : Camera Basics & The History of Photography Unit Learning Goal: We will learn to identify the components of the camera in order to begin to craft images and we will learn about the history of photography. Specific Learning Goal 1: I can identify the parts of an DSLR camera. Specific Learning Goal 2: I can use the school DSLRs to craft photographs focusing on using the different modes of the Mode Dial. Specific Learning Goal 3: We will learn how to adjust two major controls on our cameras: Shutter Speed and Aperture. Specific Learning Goal 4: We will learn about the history of photography and who the major players were who helped to drive photography into the present day technology and craft that it is today. Specific Learning Goal 5 : We will learn how to navigate Adobe Photoshop CS6 and use basic editing tools such as levels, curves, brightness, contrast, cropping and color balance to edit our photos.
