Todayʻs Tasks- 1. We should be going out and shooting simple scenes in groups today We will be working on shooting an over the shoulder scene.. One student is the Director--one is the camera man-and 2 are the actors...The actors will be discussing their ideas for a sequel to "Beyond Paradise". We will use tripods and the cameras, will shoot some simple footage, and will bring back and import the footage to Mr Shelorʻs computer.. 2. You will be given a take home assignment where you are tasked with writing a sequel to "Beyond Paradise". You must take the current plight of each of the 5 main characters- (Lehua, Zulu, Keʻau, Ronnie Boy, and Mark Thompson and continue the story on into the future 5 years from the time when the movie ended.. This assignment should be typed in a word processing program, and submitted to Mr Shelor by next Monday Feb 9th for 50 points. | Daryl Bonilla -(Keʻau in Beyond Paradise) swears it's the Queen's English he's speaking in the hit Bank of Hawaii "That's My Bank!" TV commercials. Bank of Hawaii is giving away bobbleheads of Brian Ashak, left, and Daryl Bonilla to people who open a new checking account. For everyone else — including motorists in traffic and an admiring public who parrot the slogan everywhere the Wai'anae High School grad goes — it's "Das Mah Bank!" And now, with the catch phrase as firmly entrenched in the local commercial lexicon as "Thank you ... very much," gloating bank advertising types just couldn't leave well enough alone: They turned Bonilla and co-star Brian Ashak into bobbleheads. http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2004/Jan/30/ln/ln44a.html |
